During my time at (Di)vision, I took charge of my first major project, collaborating with LN-CC, a renowned high-end sustainable fashion retailer in London. I designed, cut, and sewed 48 fleeces, repurposed from discarded Patagonia and The North Face pieces. Every style in the collection was crafted by me, with the support of two interns, using upcycled materials. Launched for Global Recycling Day, the collection showcases both brands' commitment to eco-conscious fashion, blending sustainability with contemporary streetwear aesthetics.
One of the projects I led involved revitalizing leftover inventory from previous (di)vision collections to create a new, 1-of-1 capsule collection within the (di)construct universe. This initiative was showcased at ComplexLand, where (di)vision's innovative approach to upcycling was highlighted. The collection seamlessly blended sustainability and streetwear, transforming discarded materials into unique, modern pieces. By participating in this virtual event, the collection reached a global audience, allowing visitors to explore and purchase exclusive designs from the comfort of their homes.
Another project I created was an upcycling initiative involving 25 uniquely reworked Levi’s jeans. My approach was to split the sideseams, widening the silhouette, and adding creative “holes” to the design. I incorporated pockets from discarded Carhartt garments to enhance the look, while also designing a distinctive split back pocket, which became a signature feature of this collection. By transforming unsold or discarded garments into high-quality, modern pieces, the (di)vision x Levi’s collaboration retained the rugged charm of the iconic Levi’s brand. The collection was a hit, with the jeans selling out instantly.
In 2022, (Di)vision opened its flagship store in the heart of Copenhagen. I contributed to the store's interior design by creating a custom couch, with cushions made from upcycled garments from previous collections. Additionally, I designed a large teddy-bunny for the space, which later evolved into a backpack featured in the SS23 collection.
For the SS23 collection, I designed three unique pairs of printed denim, each created to replicate a distressed, worn-in aesthetic. These designs featured intricate patches and holes, giving them a rugged, vintage feel. The original denim pieces, which I personally distressed and patched, served as the foundation for the prints. These originals were used in the printing process to craft three signature styles for the SS23 collection, merging authentic craftsmanship with innovative design techniques.
In 2022, (Di)vision collaborated with Selfridges in London to release an exclusive collection featuring upcycled pieces made from discarded Carhartt products. The collection included jackets, pants, and other pieces, all characterized by bold, reconfigured designs that combined the rugged durability of Carhartt's workwear with (Di)vision's signature patchwork and upcycled aesthetics.
